Ms. Kristy Derr has been a dedicated researcher with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 2013, specializing in the cutting-edge field of 3D tissue engineering. With her profound expertise, she focuses on developing advanced skin models, significantly aiding in the drug discovery and development processes for several diseases, including squamous cell carcinoma and psoriasis. Her research in 3D printed tissue models not only enhances our understanding of these conditions but also paves the way for more effective treatments. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Slippery Rock University, Ms. Derr's educational background and relentless commitment have made her an invaluable asset in the realm of biomedical research, driving innovation and contributing to a future of improved health outcomes.
Tim Mierzwa

Mr. Tim Mierzwa has been supporting NIH since 2011, leveraging his extensive skills in software development, infrastructure and operations, and portfolio management. With a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Catholic University and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Mr. Mierzwa has been instrumental in enhancing the technological framework essential for cutting-edge biomedical research.
